Heart of Midlothian have received scan results for Eduardo Ageu, Lawrence Shankland and Stuart Findlay. Ageu's hamstring tear will keep him out until around the turn of the year.

What happened to Ageu?

Ageu complained of a hamstring problem and underwent further investigation on Friday. Images showed a tear in the tendon, which is in a different area of the hamstring he originally injured in August.

Impact on the team

Heart of Midlothian' unbeaten league run ended in a 1-0 defeat at Aberdeen, but they remain top of the table. Ageu, Shankland and Beni Baningime were all sidelined through injury, while Craig Halkett was suspended.

Recovery timelines

Shankland's scans showed no damage to his calf, and he could return for Heart of Midlothian against Motherwell on Saturday. Findlay is set to take an injection in his ankle and could resume training on Friday.
