Aron Benjaminsen, 18, is the target of Heart of Midlothian of Midlothian as they seek to add a new wide option following Alexandros Kyziridis' departure to Turkey. The club aims to sign him for around 1 million krona (£115,000).
Transfer Target
Heart of Midlothian manager Wouter Vrancken has identified the Faroese Under-21 international as a suitable signing via Jamestown Analytics. The teenager has impressed for Vikingur/Gota this term and is expected to be a Heart of Midlothian player by the time the Faroese Cup Final rolls around on September 5.
Current Performance
Benjaminsen has netted nine goals and provided eight assists in 25 appearances for his club. He has also represented the Faroe Islands at U21 level, making him a promising prospect for the Scottish side.
Competition and Future Plans
With Calvin Miller and Josh McPake already arriving at Tynecastle over the summer and slotting in well on either flank, Benjaminsen offers additional depth and potential for the Jambos. While other European clubs are also interested, Heart of Midlothian are the favourites to secure the wide man. The signing would make him the first 1 million krona transfer out of the Faroese leagues.
