Heart of Midlothian head coach Wouter Vrancken has confirmed he turned down a substantial job offer from Bulgaria to remain at Tynecastle. The manager revealed the overseas opportunity would have paid double his current salary, but he chose to stay with the Scottish Premiership side.

Vrancken stated he believes turning down the offer was the correct decision for his career and for the club. He is fully committed to the project at Heart of Midlothian, commonly known as the Tynecastle club, and sees a strong future there.

His commitment comes as Heart of Midlothian sit third in the Premiership with 13 points from seven games. The team's recent form reads three wins, one draw, and one loss from their last five outings, a sequence that has kept them in the upper reaches of the table.

With the next fixture a home match against St Mirren on 10 October, Vrancken's focus is now firmly on maintaining the team's competitive position. The full schedule of upcoming games is available on our fixtures page.
